3 things you didn't know about Vitamins and Supplements

1. When do I take them? Morning night, lunch? My research across the web shows it depends on what the vitamins and supplement are. Most of the vitamins and supplements do better when absorbed with food therefore they are best taken in morning so that will be taken in all day. Other vitamins such as Vitamins A, D, E and K are all fat-soluble vitamins which are best absorbed when eaten with dietary fat such as nuts, but you should only take supplements that your doctor has told you that your are deficient in. For some people Vitamin B can interfere with sleep.

2. What supplements should I be taking? I tried to assess what supplements seem to be essential. One thing is clear, talk to your doctor. But here are what some of the "professionals" say:
Dr OZ says: Fish Oil , Calcium w/Magnesium and Multi-- DR OZ
Dr. Bo: Omega/Fish Oil, MultiVitamin, Probiotics,
Speedendurance.com: ZMA-- zinc, mag and B 6 for deep sleep; Omega 3 Fish OIL
Random sites:MEDIUM CHAIN TRIGLYCERIDES, coconut oil (tablets) -- For epileptics, weight loss and ADHD.
Vitamin B6 is a great supplement but it should be used with caution many user's reviews listed side effects that people were taking it willy nilly and not realizing that their supplements should be looked at just as cautiously as prescribed and OTC medications.

I take Vitamin D, B12, Calcium with Magnesium, Coconut Oil Capsules, Probiotics, Omega3s/Fish Oil, Tumeric, Chlorella Extract and a Wholefood multi-vitamin made from fruits and veggies. All of my supplements and vitamins are gluten free. Most of these have been recommended to me because of my epilepsy or the meds I am on and how they deplete your body of nutrients. I would love to some day take care of my epilepsy completely naturally. That is why I went gluten free to begin with. I truly believe our body and nature can and will work to heal one another= #ultimatehippiehappiness

The Coconut Oil Capsules I have been taking are by Elite Gold Solutions, they are 1000mg and really look like coconut oil in capsule form. I take three capsules a day and I like them because there are days I do not have a way to integrate coconut oil into a recipe and I don't always like eating a spoonful of coconut oil. I feel like I am regular when I am on them and I do notice a difference in my stomach issues when I do not take them. I do not ingest Gluten to assist with my Epilepsy and I have also read that coconut oil can help with seizures as well. Who am I to not try something that could take me away from chemicals and add natural ingredients instead? Elite Gold Solutions Coconut Oil Capsules makes me #hippiehappy epileptic.

3. Where should I get my info on my vitamins and supplements? I am not a doctor and I do not play one in my blogs. Please do not take my advice but I do try and get a little bit of info as a jumping off point for ya.
